Campers will also have access to nursing staff, athletic therapy and clinical exercise physiologists.

While the Lions Camps: Diabetes Sports camp runs for one week as a diabetes interactive Day Camp. ICD will be training the Lions Camp staff to help support any campers with T1D that are attending any other week that Lions Camp runs. Training will include watching for lows, recognizing trends, and knowing how food and exercise affect diabetes. They will also be trained on how to use Glucagon in the rare case that they have to administer it to anyone.
