What You’ll Do
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Assistant to support our research initiatives aimed at advancing support for people living with type one diabetes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data, while working closely with our research team and external partners to contribute to impactful projects.
Research Support
-Assist in designing and implementing research studies related to advancing support for people living with diabetes
-Conduct literature reviews to stay informed on the latest diabetes research trends.
Data Collection and Analysis
-Collect, organize, and maintain research data, including clinical or community-based studies.
-Perform statistical analyses and interpret results using software tools (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python).
Collaboration and Communication
-Coordinate with internal teams, external collaborators, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
-Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research manuscripts for publication.
Administrative
-Maintain accurate research records and databases in compliance with ethical and organizational standards.
-Provide support for grant applications and progress reporting.
Preferred Requirements
– Registered in a University or College program that focuses on promotion, nonprofit management, marketing, communications, public relations, business and related fields
– informed and educated on the latest social media trends, rules and tools
– Knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
– Experience in content creation, and photography an asset.
– Ability to work as a member of a team.
– Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
– Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Location
Work will take place remotely, and on-site at ICD offices as deemed necessary.
Compensation: Starts at $17.70/hour dependent on experience/education
Start Date: June 23, 2025
End Date: August 22, 2025
